Forensic archaeology is a branch within the field of the forensic sciences. It uses the principles and methods of archaeology in a forensic context. 

Our mission is the establishment of forensic archaeology as a standard part of forensic research in Austria.

The AFA brings together a wide array of skills and experience  in surveying and localisation techniques, archaeological methodology and computer aided recording methods.
